CDC Diabetes Prevention Program Curriculum
The CDC Diabetes Prevention Program (CDC DPP) Curriculum is a federal program that promotes lifestyle changes as a means to effectively prevent Type 2 Diabetes, based on a clinical research study led by the National Institute of Health. This lifestyle intervention is a 16-week program in which a lifestyle coach facilitates discussion and guides participants to achieving a healthy lifestyle. After each session, weight measurements are taken to assess the effectiveness of the intervention. Post-core sessions ensure that participants successfully transition to long-term healthy lifestyle habits.
